Sr Beta Club was founded in 1934 by Dr. John W. Harris. Beta is an academic honors program whose mission is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, and service leadership among high school students. Beta has four pillars, and they are achievement, character, leadership, and service. Colleges recognize Beta as a reputable organization. Beta offers scholarships to its members. One scholarship is the National Beta Scholarship which awards over $300,000 dollars to 250 different Twelfth Grade Senior Beta members.
